The Story

Crepes & Co was conceptualised at the end of 1995 by
Philippe Bruttin and the restaurant opened in April 1996, with the temporary help of his youngest brother, Serge; Swiss-Bulgarian Hoteliers-Restaurateurs, raised between Morocco, Spain and Greece, they introduced for the first time a Creperie in Bangkok. Since there wasn’t, and still isn’t, any such restaurant in Bangkok, its popularity and number of patrons have been regularly increasing over the years, mostly through word of mouth.

At the very beginning the Menu comprised on only a few items and through the years expanded to a 350 items menu. From the owners’ personal background, Crepes & Co has been able to introduce consistently, foods and tastes not represented in Bangkok yet. Apart from the Crepes that are unique, we also started serving Greek, Moroccan and Spanish food, as there were no such restaurants in Bangkok.

The great majority of staff have been working at Crepes & Co for over four years, and many for over 7-8 years now. Their stability is a reflection of Crepes & Co consistency in keeping its good staff and customers happy. All staff have been hired without any experience in the field and trained to Crepes & Co standards. This ensures higher development potential by learning the correct way of doing thus ensuring that there won’t be any mistakes done by wrong working habits. This applies especially to cooks who are all young and enthusiastic, able to learn such variety of different cooking techniques and trained in providing constancy in their products. Besides we are proud to be the only independent restaurant offering two days off per week to each staff, when one day off only, is the norm in most hotels & restaurants in Thailand.

Constantly looking for quality, choice and presentation, Crepes & Co is a place where one can be assured to always find a constant level of quality standards

For the very sad part of the story, Philippe, creator of this unique concept, deceased at a much too young age in December 2000. We miss him very much. Olivier, the second of the three brothers, also a Hotelier-Restaurateur, managed the restaurant for a couple of years until he returned to his former career overseas with a multi-national company. Since then, Serge decided to quit his hotel management career in order to look after Crepes & Co. After all, this restaurant represents a fantastic mix of all the food, cultures & “joie de vivre” the three brothers have experienced during their childhood and therefore, Serge is proud to keep the legend alive and be your host!
